In a recent press release, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) revealed that Trade Show Executive’s 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards gave top honors to their International CES 2012 mobile app for “Innovation” and “Green Initiatives.”
Core-apps was a big part of this success, providing the technology behind the award-winning CES mobile app that enabled tens of thousands of attendees to experience the event without the use of paper schedules and white papers.
From the press release:
“We are honored to have CEA recognized for our innovation and green initiatives by Trade Show Executive magazine,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA, producer and owner of the International CES. “These awards recognize our efforts to reflect the innovative spirit and dynamism of the industry we represent as well as the creative thinking and strategic implementation that go into making CES the world’s most important – and greenest- technology event.”
CEA also has made innovative use of technology and apps to communicate important information and show news to its global attendees, including the award-winning CES Mobile App
Mobile apps from Core-apps not only conserve paper but also save janitorial expenses, storage space and significant printing costs. Full schedules are included in the app, as well as exhibitor listing, speaker profiles and the updatable nature of electronic media eliminates the need for errata sheets. The interactive map provides a significant advantage of paper maps: it can tell you where you are at any given time.
Congratulations to the CEA for making a difference!
