Scare tactics from mobile app vendors??

Are you as excited about getting your new iPhone 5s or 5c as I am? Can you say thumb scanner – I can’t wait!!!!
I have been envying everyone that had the new 5 for the past year while I was still using my 4s and my replacement 4s – borrowed from my son (long story 🙂 ). With the announcement of a new iPhone comes a new iOS. iOS 7 is the latest version of the Apple operating system and it contains some cool new features as well as more constraints for us developers to manage. Whenever there is a new version of an operating system that is released there are always high expectations and concerns but that should not be used as a scare tactic by a mobile app vendor in our industry! Apple, like others, always has a upgrade path and shares this plan with their development community before the news is released so that we are all well prepared ahead of time. Furthermore, Apple tests each app with all versions of iOS that are supported before the app can be released. Therefore, you can expect your app to work once it is released from Apple. The fact that someone would use this as a scare tactic to get Event Organizers to switch their mobile app provider because they say they are ready is sad! Here is what I have told my team for when this topic comes up:

“As one of Apple’s top developers (we publish more apps then any other Apple vendor), Core-apps maintains a high level of support from the Apple review team. Core-apps consistently test and makes sure our apps are within all Apple guidelines and functions on Apple’s highest level of IOS.”

As always, Core-apps is a responsible industry partner. We are committed to not letting any of our customers be impacted by an operating system upgrade or new devices being released.
